20-Year Delegate Bill Barlow Has Endorsed Michele Joyce for his Former Seat
314 Action Endorses Michele Joyce for Virginia House of Delegates
(Smithfield, Va., Aug. 13, 2019) — Former Delegate Bill Barlow endorsed Michele Joyce for the seat he once held representing the 64th District of Virginia in the House of Delegates. Barlow, an attorney from Smithfield, Va., previously represented the same district for 20 years, 1992 – 2012. Barlow will also be joining the Joyce for Delegate campaign as chairman of her bipartisan steering committee.

2019 STEM Candidates Meet With Governor Northam

(Smithfield, Va., July 12, 2019) — The STEM Dems ©, a caucus of 2019 Democratic STEM candidates for the Virginia General Assembly, will meet Monday, July 15, with Governor Ralph Northam at the Executive Mansion.
The STEM Dems’ goal for their meeting with the governor is to look ahead to the 2020 legislature and gain a better understanding of where their diverse backgrounds can help the work of the General Assembly. “Before he was governor, Northam was himself a STEM member of the Virginia Senate, so we share some common ground heading into Monday’s meeting,” said Michele Joyce, candidate for HD-64. “I look forward to having a conversation with him about how my physics/tech background can work for Isle of Wight County.”
